• March for Jesus: Eve, amongst other dancers, was invited to dance.
.
  • Music Festival with Ric and Lynelle Detlefsen on Austerlitz Street: We proclaimed Christ the Lord in Strasbourg. It was fantastic!!! Evangelism week with about 50 youths from Colorado and from France- 2 concerts and evangelism in city parks. This event built relationships between other churches in France and in the United States.

  • Cleansing Stream Ministry- with a final retreat with Pastor Jean- Francois Gotte.

  • Moving - our biggest victory: a superb house with a music room and a meeting room for about 40 youth. A big yard and many terraces for BBQ's and activities.

Eve received her work permit to work in France; Francois has many interesting short-term contracts; the church took the decision to start giving a small salary to Nathalie

It was an exceptional and eventful year. We faced some of our greatest battles since our coming to France, but we also had out greatest victories.

In the middle of year 2004, we moved to Austerlitz Street, in a nice apartment in the city center of Strasbourg. The name "Austerlitz Street" comes from France's history; it was the place of departure of one of Napoleon's army that went to the Austerlitz battle, also know as "
the three emperor's battle". We were in the heart of Strasbourg, and we knew that the Lord was strategicly placing us there for a special purpose. We started our ministry in this new place with a "Welcome Holy Spirit" weekend. We had to take a stand because a week before, a satanic group was singing in front of this apartment at the Music Festival. We felt the presence of the Lord among us, and people were baptized in the Spirit.

However, this victory led us to experiment opposition from the neighborhood and spiritual oppression. In fact, just as the streets name refers, we felt that we were in the mist of a battle during all our time on Austerlitz Street: we had financial problems; when applying for visas the government showed no signs of interest in renewing them; our big helper, Kim, started attending Bible College in Canada (good for her but, of course, not great for us); Nathalie became sick due to something in the apartment or due to downtown's pollution, we are unsure; and the church was experiencing internal conflicts.
